The Myers Family can trace its Texas roots to 8 generations, all the way back to 1830 when John Cheney was sent to Texas from Georgia in order to distance him from the family. John had married a Creek Indian woman and the news was not received well by his father. Exile was not a good thing for ol' John, but the family honor was preserved. Texas at that time was a badlands of sorts and an untamed frontier. The ranch that he settled over 170 years ago is still in operation today by our family in the Post Oak Savanna region right on the Old Texana Trail.
Throughout the generations, the Myers clan has had a proud heritage of Cowboys, Lawmen, Ranchers, War Heroes, Educators, Patriots, Sportsmen, Writers, Gamblers, Businessmen, and most importantly, the women who supported and inspired us all.
We Texans are a proud bunch who are passionate about our great state and our heritage.
Red Ass Apparel Co. was formed to complement the pride and passion we have for this place we love, our home... TEXAS!
The term "Red Ass" is one used to express extreme passion, enthusiasm, motivation, or even anger and rage. "Red Ass" is a term which is as diverse as the great state from which it originates.
